The Rivera family appeared in the restaurant scene in 1997. They were the first to offer Sonora-style hot dogs in the valley. That year, Nogales Hot Dogs was born with great success. Years later, in June 2012, a new experience emerged with Sushi Sonora. The new venture introduced new flavors with unique blends: the combination of traditional Sonoran food and Japanese dishes. Tacos La Cabeza appears later on the scene in 2017, a food cart that offers tacos made from head to tongue. They were the first carts approved by the Department of Health and the city of Phoenix.
